Stefan Simony was an Austrian painter, draftsman, and photographer, best known for his impressive landscape depictions. As one of the early pioneers of alpine painting, he devoted himself with great passion to the Austrian mountain world, particularly the Dachstein massif, which he immortalized in numerous drawings and watercolors.
