Georges Seurat was a French painter and one of the most important representatives of Pointillism. With his innovative technique of placing small dots of color next to each other, he created artworks of exceptional depth. His most famous painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, is considered a milestone of modern painting and showcases his masterful use of light, color, and composition. Seurat’s analytical approach to painting made him a pioneer of Neo-Impressionism and influenced numerous artists who followed.
